We've finally got a bit sun in London. After the dreadful flooding we've had a few days of sunshine which is good. Let's hope summer lasts more than a week here. The rain was really bad recently and there were reports of lots of homes being ruined. I was fortunate as all I suffered was a bit of a leaky roof.
Pondering what will become of Beckham due to his move to LA Galaxy. When will he actually play, and is he superhuman enough to lift a team that has been performing so badly. I hope he doesn't convert to Scientology - although I think they will wait for him to have a moment of weakness and then pounce. I think if he converts to Scientology he will lose his independence and become a follower where his life will be controlled by an unusual and consuming system.
I'm a bit of a comic book movie fan and I'm looking forward to the 'Iron Man' movie coming out next year. The Spider-Man 3 movie was good. Also the Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer movie was good. I think it would be a great idea to do a 'Doctor Strange' movie as that could appeal to the generation that originally read the comics. It would have immense scope for special effects and the storyline could be mature. I'd like to see it done.
A married man took a solo trip to Bermuda that was part work, part vacation. He fell so in love with the place that he wired his friend: "Catch next plane out. Bring my wife and your mistress."
The friend wired back: "Your wife and I arriving tommorrow 4:30 p.m. How long have you know about us ?"
