Title: A Point About The Press

Just a point I'd like to raise. I was looking through a British newspaper today and I saw another article about Britney Spears. It made me think about all the bad press she has gotten recently, and I think the press should lay off her and others like her. The press seem to build certain people up, and when that person falls short of a deemed 'perfect image', I've noticed the press are capable of ripping them to shreds at every opportunity. Britney Spears may not have a 'perfect commercial image' (whatever that is) but she is in fact a human being and not a commercial product. Human beings are all different, and ultimately it is her life and so long as she is not doing anything evil or criminal, she has the right to live it without being treated cruelly. The same goes for the other celebrities that the press bring up and and then crash down. I think it is very shallow. People go through ups and downs in life and that is not rocket science - the press should understand this.
